The Art of Shaping: Mainland

Javier started shaping in a small family run shop in San Diego. He worked his way up to a full production floor, building boards for some of the best in the world. Then he went back home.

After 15 years in California, he now shapes under his own brand in Sayulita, the town he grew up in. Twenty boards a week instead of fifteen a day, because too much volume starts to consume the work. Close to his family, doing the one thing he ever wanted to do.

A shaper by trade, but watch him work and you will see an artist. His boards look like they should be hanging on a wall.
